Yoga: Samaana = Samaana Vayu - one of the Panch Pranas

It is simple - you can enjoy the scenery during the drive only if the car is running smoothly, otherwise you are only going to be worried about the car. Our body is the most tangible and gross manifestation of our being. It is solid. There is no doubt that our body exists. The body is the vehicle of the consciousness that experiences Life. Therefore, it is vital that the vehicle is in prime condition, so that the consciousness can expand beyond the body. Hatha Yoga gives foremost importance to the health and purification of the body.

SAMAANA is an all-inclusive Hatha Yoga module designed by ARNAVH to access and affect all aspects of the body-mind-energy matrix through the body. Each one hour session of SAMAANA is a group class that will focus on Asanas, in harmony with breath and awareness, to affect the outer as well as the inner layers of our existence. 

 

ASANAS

Bones, muscles, fascia and the nerves love movement. Asanas, in harmony with breath and awareness, improve structure and alignment of these elements, bringing about a sense of relaxation in the system. Asana flows also improve proprioception, and interoception. Interoception is a key factor in regulating physical, mental and emotional states.

RELAXATION TECHNIQUES

Yogic relaxation techniques have been proven again and again to bring about deep relaxation at all levels of the system. These techniques also improve immunity and improve the longevity of the system.

Q. Who should join Samaana Yoga?

A. Anyone who is able to sit on the floor and able to sufficiently move their body. Samaana Yoga has been designed to help people build a relationship with their own bodies and learn to nurture this relationship. 

Samaana Yoga program will help you increase energy levels, gather your scattered mind and deal with challenges positively, and build a supple body. 

 

Q. How long do I need to attend the Samaana Yoga program?

A. At ARNAVH, we believe in empowering people. The program has been designed to make you self-reliant with the tools we teach. We recommend you attend the program for at least 3 months and then decide whether you wish to set out on your own, or continue experiencing the benefits of a live class with an expert. 

Note that being registered with Samaana Yoga program grants you access to the expert. You can ask your teacher questions and doubts regarding your the tools that are being taught. Also, new techniques will be continuously added to the program. 

Q. Who should not join the Samaana Yoga program?​​

  • Persons suffering from psychiatric disorders like schizophrenia and severe depression. 

  • Persons who have undergone a surgery in the last 6 months. 

  • Persons who cannot sit on the floor.
